What’s New in Kids’ Yoga this May?

It's been a whole month, so let's catch up! What exciting early education events have you been a part of lately? Oh, and don't forget to tell me about the kids' favourite activities from last month's yoga sessions!

Our kids' yoga theme this month is Inspired Individuality. It's a much-loved theme about embracing what makes us special and standing out! We've got a special message for both the little ones and the big ones - what sets us apart is what makes us amazing!

The activities are centred around movement, and we have a particular pose and breathing technique that will help kids feel empowered to add their own unique flair.

Our May pose is Dancer’s Pose, also known as Natarajasana. Kids can't resist this fun pose that teaches them a valuable lesson in embracing individuality. Watch as they discover that everyone has their own unique way of doing this pose, and that's something to celebrate.

A pose straight from classical Indian dance, every child puts their own spin on it. As they hold the pose, they'll strengthen their legs and body, all while confidently maintaining balance by using their gaze. It's the perfect way to teach kids about perseverance and appreciation. So strike a pose and let's dance!

Our breath for May is Dragon Fire breaths!

We will take a deep breath in and out, opening our mouths and eyes like fiery dragons! With this fun and interactive exercise, kids can find confidence and feel ready to take on the day. Plus, they can add their own unique style and have a good laugh with each other. It also helps them self-regulate to feel calmer and more centred.

We will also gently drum our fingers on our heads for some self-soothing, imagining raindrops massaging our heads. And with Meghan Trainor's Better When I'm Dancin' playing in the background, we'll move our bodies and feel energized with affirmations to boost our self-trust. Let's get ready to conquer the day and do what we love!

Get ready for a jam-packed month of fun and fitness with the ultimate kids' yoga soundtrack! Access it anytime, anywhere to bring balance and tranquillity to your classroom.

Plus, look at this month’s amazing outcomes and keep the good vibes flowing and stay active with kids' yoga!
