What’s New in Kids’ Yoga this July?

This month, we have crafted a special yoga theme that draws inspiration from the beautiful season we find ourselves in called Winter Wellbeing Warriors. We are embracing the importance of staying active and maintaining a healthy mind and body, using our imagination in the chilly weather!

This month kids channel their inner warrior with our July Ice Skaters’ Pose aka Skandasana!

This pose has a powerhouse of benefits for kids' bodies. It strengthens the legs, core, and hips and improves balance. It’s also fantastic for increasing flexibility for other poses! Why don’t you join the fun and give Ice Skaters’ Pose a try with us? You won't be able to resist its joyful, healthy effects - plus, the giggles and laughter while we all move is infectious!

Our breath for July is Breath of Fire!

We will take a deep inhale and let out many short exhales, one after the other, stoking the fire deep within our belly! This engaging activity is a wonderful way to energize kids’ minds and warm their bodies!

This month the gentle drum of fingers on our heads will also return for some gentle self-soothing. Emily Wurramara’s well-loved track Yaka Yelyukwa (Rain Song) is the perfect song to play while the kids imagine raindrops of many shapes massaging their heads!

On a musical note, don’t forget you can bring joy and vitality to your classroom or home with this month’s ultimate kids' yoga soundtrack. Access it anytime for a burst of balance and tranquillity.

Join me in celebrating the wellness and fun our children are experiencing during this exciting month of yoga! Let’s cultivate wellness and resilience together!
