What’s New in Kids’ Yoga this August?

This August, our kids’ yoga adventure theme is Fantastically Fun Flexibility! Kids will explore the incredible stretchy capabilities of their bodies.

We'll practice Camel Pose, also known as Ustrasana! It's a fantastic pose that helps us safely and deeply stretch our backs while kneeling. Plus, it's a great way to counteract the winter slouch. By placing our hands on our heels, we strengthen our chest, tummy, arms, and legs - welcome us into the classroom for a free trial incursion and let us show you how!

Our breath of the month is called Belly Warming Bellow Breaths. Now that’s a mouthful! It's a technique where we breathe in through our noses and exhale five short, sharp breaths out of our mouths. This warms our bodies from the inside and feels amazing.

To add a little extra invigoration, kids will discover how to do a gentle massage by lightly pounding their fists on their muscles. And for some cool beats and fun movements, we'll be moving to Mr Chris' hip-hop song The Stretch Song. Have a listen - it's guaranteed to make you smile.

Don't forget about our ultimate kids' yoga playlist for this month. It's perfect for bringing joy and vitality to your classroom or home anytime you need an energy boost!

Let's make this month absolutely fabulous with a good dose of kids’ yoga! Access my Sprouts Yoga TV! YouTube channel anytime for a burst of balance and tranquillity.

Let’s see the fun and benefit of kids’ yoga ripple far and wide!
