Happy New Year!

Hello, Early Childhood Educators and Parents!

Happy New Year! Are you ready to have fun this year being BRAVE?

Our kids are!

Today, we start our yoga classes in an exciting new adventure, Beautiful Bountiful Bravery. A perfect new year fit as we discover how to feel calm in mind and body, ready to try new things!

Every month we focus on children receiving time to know one pose and breath well so they can feel joy and self-belief as they make it their own.

Our January pose is Flying Warrior or Warrior 3. It will be the most challenging the kids have learnt yet!

This pose has many benefits, like strengthening kids' bodies, feet and ankles and moving with self-trust in the space around them.

Our focus breath for January is Breath Of Fire or Kapala-bhati.

Bhati means to shine! This breath rewards kids and parents positively by strengthening the child's lungs and enhancing memory and concentration.

This month, we have a perfect book and songs to raise our BRAVE energy!

We will read Tomorrow I'll be Brave by Jessica Hische and discover the rhythmic tick of the metronome! The song Brave by Sara Bareilles will play as we feel confident and able in our minds, breath and bodies.

Our Early Years Learning Framework focus this month is outcomes 1 & 3 – children have a strong sense of identity and well-being!

Excited about a courageous year of yoga adventures with you!
